The particular aircraft pictured above is the version Israel is ordering. The most obvious difference between this and other versions of the F-16 are the Conformal Fuel Tanks (CFTs). They are the large "lumps" you see on either side of the cockpit. CFTs have finished the full flight testing program and will first be used operationally by the Hellenic Air Force. The CFTs will also appear on the new Israeli F-16.</p> <p>The F-16 C and D versions now have the block 60 engine available. It is the F110-GE-132 from General Electrics. It produces 32,500 pounds of thrust compared to the 29,000 pounds of thrust offered by the block 52 engine.</p> <p>An F-16 successfully test launched the new Have Lite missle recently. The long range missle is initially guided by GPS to programed coordinates, then the pilot can take control and manually fly the missle into the target.
